How Do You Act?

You can’t act like a skunk without someone getting wind of it.

Joh_11:39  Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

Sometimes this how others think of a few people’s actions and mannerisms. They stink.

Don’t let this be you.

You are not to bad to come to Church

or too good to stay away.

Heb 10:25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. 

Mat_11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

A Principled Man

A man without principle never draws much interest.

Jas_3:13  Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
1Pe_1:15  But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
1Pe 2:11  Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; 
12  Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. 

Worry

Worry is the misuse of imagination.

Psa_37:1  Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

Psa_37:7  Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.8  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

Strength

When I am faithful and praying, I am strong in Christ.

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13 – KJB

How to Soar

When our course is controlled by God, we soar to heights never imagined.

Isa_40:31  But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Exo 19:4  Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself. 

Gardening

When there is pruning, the Gardener is nearby. – I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. – John 15:1,2 KJB

A Gift

Today is a gift . . . That’s why it is called “the present.”

‘Is there not an appointed tome to man upon earth? Are not his days also like the days of an hireling?” Job 7:1 KJB

“Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Eph 5:16 KJB

Death

Do not wait for the hearse to take you to church.

Rev_2:11  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Daily Prayer

Daily prayer diminishes your cares.

Joh_17:15  I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
