“But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you,” Luke 11:20.
The fingerprints of God were all over Jesus’ life and miracles. Nicodemus in John 3:2 knew “that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.” Our lives are supposed to be walking advertisements that the kingdom of God has come upon us. A mother was very verbal to her son who was headed for Army basic training. She was afraid he would be persecuted because he was a Christian. When he returned, his mother inquired of his persecution. He said, “No problem, they didn’t find out.” Sincere Christians should not have to wear Christian symbol jewelry to have people know they are Christian. God’s fingerprints should be obvious.
Jesus preached in Matthew 6:13 that we should pray for God to deliver us from the evil one.
Satan has enough demons who promote his agenda to assign several thousand to every person on earth. Only God is stronger than Satan. He allowed Satan to deliver Paul an infirmity (2 Cor. 12). Then, he held Paul’s hand through each trial, protecting him from Satan’s destruction. In the process Paul matured in Christian graces to the point he could say, “I have learned in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Phil. 4:11, 13).
The finger of God can send Satan packing. Two things will evidence end-time Christians, their testimony and the Word of God which frustrates Satan. Jesus is at the right hand of the Father representing us, and we are here on earth representing Him. Do others see God’s fingerprints all over our lives?
JUST A THOUGHT – Others should see the power of God in us
