O.K.
you wanted it, you’ve got it! Just think! Jeremiah recorded in
Lamentations 3:22-24,”It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not
consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every
morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my
soul; therefore will I hope in him.” So, TODAY is a new day; a new
year; a new crossroads with you having the opportunity to make really
right, lasting choices of goodness. It might be illustrated by the
little guy who was so happy with his birthday party that he wished he
could have a birthday everyday. Well you may!
No, I have not
lost it, the vacation did not make me crazy, but have you ever said
or heard someone say, “If only I had the chance to do it all over
again?”
Well, today is the first day of the rest of your
life! So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Today you begin anew, all over
again! The first Sunday of the rest of your life is coming up, too.
So, whatever you wanted life to be for you within the will of God,
let it begin today! In a manner of speaking, you really can do it all
over again! But will things change? Will they be different or will
they be the same piling up of more regret? Remember, God is leading,
but He is not forcing! A commitment on your part to put Him first in
regular church attendance, in Bible reading, in prayer, in
witnessing, in reaching out to help others, in other words in the
commitment of true perpetual worship will bring the enabling power of
God to you through the Holy Spirit to weave a fabric of life that is
truly different. What then is needed on your part? It is an
unreserved commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, not only as your
Savior, but as your Lord. Do it!!!!
