This should be a prayer on the lips of every believer
Lord, let me not honor You,
with my lips only
but with a heart that is . . .
devoted to You solely.
Let me not profess,
my undying love to You
only to go into the world
and follow what others do.
Let me not disobey,
the commands You taught
by living a life of hypocrisy
and doing whatever I want.
Let me not think,
it’s all about heaven getting
but, about right here and now
and any sin that is besetting.
Lord, let me not fool myself,
thinking hidden sin You can’t see
lest I hear You say one day . . .
